Q: What is included in the dining package?

My Backyard Wedding dining package is an all- inclusive table setting for a table of 8. The package is inclusive of table, chairs, linen, cutlery, crockery, glassware and floral centre piece. It does not include chair covers or back sashes, place cards, menu cards or condiments.

Q: What is included within the ceremony package?

My Backyard Wedding ceremony package is inclusive of arbour/ arch, signing table, 16 x chairs and floral decorations. (Various styles of arbours/ arches are available to suit your style of ceremony. E.g: beach, garden or rustic).

Q: Is catering included in the dining package?

No. Catering is not included within the dining package. My Backyard Wedding does not supply any wedding catering.

Q: Which areas do you service?

My Backyard Wedding services Melbourne metro and surrounding areas. We specialise in Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley and Melbourne Eastern and Northern suburbs.  We are happy to service other regions however additional delivery charges will apply.

Q: How long in advance should I book your services?

My Backyard Wedding recommends that you book your service no later than three months in advance. Peak wedding season runs from September to March which means these dates fill extremely quickly.

Q: Does your service include delivery?

Yes. Delivery is included with our packages to Melbourne metro areas only. Additionally delivery applies to areas outside of this area.

Q: Are flowers included?

Yes. Floral centrepieces are included within our dining package and some florals are included in the ceremony package.

Q: What are the benefits of having a backyard wedding?

The main benefits of having a backyard wedding are you get to pick the date for your wedding. Popular wedding reception venues can be booked 18 – 24 months in advance! Additionally, you can add your own unique sense of style to your wedding. You can start and end the celebrations when you like (within reason) and you can invite as much family and friends as you like and not worry about the $200 cost per person.

Q: What savings are to be made when planning a backyard wedding?

The biggest saving to be made when having a backyard wedding is the venue hire/ reception.  Prices can range from $60 – $250 per person with a minimum spend of $20,000.  The second biggest saving is alcohol as you will not be charged the mark- up or corkage which venues pass on to their customers for mediocre product. Another saving is transport – wedding cars/ limos can cost between $300 – $1000 depending on the type of vehicle and the length of hire.
